Australian Immigration Law and Practice Training


Background to the course

The University of New South Wales has a distinguished reputation in its training of migration agents.

The Australian Immigration Law and Practice Training: A Practical Course in Knowledge of Migration Law & Procedure runs for five full days over two weekends and two weekdays. The program consists of lectures and workshops sessions. It aims to provide participants with an understanding of the principles of Immigration law, the processes of immigration decision making and review the practical skills required to set up and run a business and the ethical requirements of practice.

This course is taught by leading specialists in Immigration law and solicitors with over ten years of migration practice and teaching.

Aims of our course

Guide participants through the workings of the legislation which is the Acts and Regulations
Apply these essential skills for practice and for the exam.

The presenters will guide you through course materials including legislation, notes, relevant case law, articles, publications and forms.

All materials for our course are included in the cost.

Our class size is limited to 35 (please register early).

Registration for our course closes Friday 20 January 2006.

The course will also aim to prepare students for the MAPKE Examination. Participants will be given:

Case studies
Take home material
Material on techniques for exams to help students
